Frequently Asked Questions: Sourcing & Authenticity

Who is Wangyuan? Is this a reputable company?

WangYuan Group is one of the pioneers of the modern camel-milk industry, founded in 2007 in the Altai region of Xinjiang. We focus on doing one rare thing exceptionally well: producing pure, single-origin Bactrian camel milk to an international standard, with full traceability from herd to tin.

Is Wangyuan backed by scientific research and development (R&D)?

Yes — and this is exactly where WangYuan stands apart from the dated image many people still hold of regional dairy.

Since 2016, WangYuan has worked in a research partnership with Xinjiang University, one of China's national "Double First-Class" universities. The university's scientists lead the research into camel milk, while WangYuan focuses on translating that knowledge into production of the highest quality. It's a genuine pairing of academic science and disciplined manufacturing.

That work is recognised at the highest level: the partnership's camel-milk research programme was awarded First Prize in the Xinjiang Science and Technology Progress Award (2022) — a government-level honour for scientific contribution.

And that rigour carries through to every tin: a 128-step quality-control process from herd to sealed tin, independent lab testing on every batch, USDA Organic and Halal certification, and a China government traceability code you can scan to follow your tin all the way back to its exact origin and batch. This isn't commodity dairy — and we're always glad to show the documentation behind it.

Where is this camel milk powder actually from? Which country and farm?

It starts with the camel and the land. Our milk comes from two-humped Bactrian camels — far rarer than the one-humped dromedaries of the hot deserts. They're raised in the cold desert of the Altai, across a protected grazing range of around 1,333 km², where four true seasons swing from +40°C to −40°C. That extreme, seasonal land gives them something a single-season hot desert can't: a wide and varied diet of wild Altai plants and herbs through the year. A rarer breed, a harsher land, a richer natural diet — herded the traditional, nomadic way for over a thousand years. It's a single-origin approach that mass farming simply can't replicate.

Is it genuinely 100% camel milk? How can I be sure there are no fillers or additives?

Yes, all our powder variants are made from 100% Pure Fresh Camel Milk. We guarantee that absolutely no fillers, artificial additives, or cow's milk are ever blended into our products.

How do I know the product I receive is authentic and not a counterfeit?

Every tin carries a unique China traceability code. Scan it, and you can trace your exact product back to its pasture and manufacturing batch — full transparency from farm to cup.

Does it contain antibiotics or synthetic growth hormones?

No. Our Bactrian camels roam freely across certified-organic pastures and forage naturally — never industrial factory farming. Our milk is free from synthetic growth hormones, preventative antibiotics, and artificial additives.

Frequently Asked Questions: Safety & Regulations

    What certifications do you hold?

WangYuan camel milk is USDA Organic certified and Halal certified, and is registered with the U.S. FDA. Every batch is independently lab-tested before release and runs through a 128-step quality-control process from herd to sealed tin, and each tin carries a China government traceability code back to a single registered origin. We're always glad to show the documentation.

Has this product been approved by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA)?

Yes, we strictly adhere to all local food safety laws. Our products are imported in full compliance with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulations to ensure they are completely safe for our local customers.

Are there any test reports for heavy metals, pesticides, or aflatoxins?

Yes. Before final packaging, every product passes a 128-step quality-control and testing process. In addition, every batch undergoes independent testing to confirm it is free from harmful levels of heavy metals, pesticides, and contaminants.

Is it genuinely 100% camel milk? How can I be sure there are no fillers or additives?

Yes. All our powders are 100% pure camel milk — no fillers, no maltodextrin, no sweeteners, and no cow's milk ever blended in. This is independently verified.

What are the pasteurization and processing methods used?

We use a low-temperature pasteurisation and spray-drying process. It's designed to eliminate harmful pathogens such as salmonella while gently preserving the milk's natural nutritional profile — which is why we advise mixing with warm rather than boiling water.

Frequently Asked Questions: Appearance, Preparation & Taste

What is the best way to prepare the milk powder?

For best results, mix one 20g sachet with warm water between 55°C and 70°C. Avoid boiling water — it can cause the proteins to denature and create an unappealing texture. A simple guide is a 2:1 ratio of hot to room-temperature water, which lands at around 60°C.

Can I use it for coffee, tea, or in smoothies without it curdling?

Yes — it's versatile. For the best taste and texture, we suggest first mixing the 20g sachet with water at the right temperature (55°C–70°C) until smooth, then adding it to your coffee, tea, or smoothie, rather than stirring the dry powder straight into a hot drink.

What does Wangyuan Camel Milk taste like? Is it gamey?

Pure camel milk is smooth and creamy, with a naturally mild, slightly salty note from its mineral content. While some raw camel milks can taste strong, our processing removes the heavy odour while keeping the pure, natural taste — with no artificial flavourings.

Why does the milk powder sometimes look slightly damp or clumped when I open it?

This is a hallmark of pure camel milk. It naturally has a higher fat content than standard milk, which gives a slightly moist look, and this rich fat can cause light, temporary clumping in transit. As long as it breaks apart easily and smells fresh, it's perfectly fine.

Why are there tiny particles left on the glass, a slight layer of oil, or foam after mixing?

These are signs of a natural, unprocessed product. The powder is naturally coated with free fats, which can leave a fine residue or a slight oil sheen, and camel milk's natural proteins can foam a little when stirred. All completely normal.

Why does the color of the powder vary between batches?

Because our milk is organic and pure, we never use artificial colours. The shade shifts slightly with the season and the natural plants the camels graze on. Occasionally you may see a faint pinkish hue from naturally high vitamin B12, or tiny dark specks from natural lactose caramelising during drying. Both are completely safe and natural.

Frequently Asked Questions: Health Benefits & Suitability

When is the best time to drink WangYuan camel milk?

Whenever it suits you — there's no wrong time.

It's an everyday whole food, so the best time is simply the one you'll keep up. Some people like it first thing in the morning, on its own, as an easy and nourishing way to start the day — a simple ritual before breakfast. Others prefer it in the evening, where a warm drink is a comforting way to wind down before bed.

Many also enjoy it on its own, rather than with a meal, simply because it's pleasant that way and easy to make part of a daily routine.

However you take it, mix one 20g sachet with water at around 60°C (a 2:1 ratio of hot to room-temperature water) rather than boiling water, to keep the milk's natural nutrients intact.

I'm watching my blood sugar — can I drink WangYuan camel milk?

Yes. And here's the part most people are never told:

Your body actually runs on glucose — it's the basic fuel your brain and muscles need every day. So sugar isn't the enemy; you need it. The real issue is how fast and how much arrives at once. A can of soft drink or a bowl of white rice sends in a big, fast flood of glucose, and the body has to scramble to handle the surge. That daily scramble is what people watching their sugar are really trying to avoid.

The gentler kind is sugar that comes slowly, in a small amount, inside a real whole food — alongside protein and fat that naturally slow it down. That's what milk is. WangYuan is 100% pure, organic camel milk — a whole food, nothing processed in, nothing taken out. Its small amount of natural sugar (lactose, around 6 to 8g per serving depending on the label) is simply the sugar that belongs in real milk, arriving the calm, steady way nature intended — wrapped in protein and fat, not as a fast flood.

That's the real difference between a whole food and many flavoured or 3-in-1 powders: those have processed sugar, maltodextrin or sweeteners blended in. Ours is just the milk — organic, whole, and exactly as it comes.

I'm watching my fat intake — can I drink WangYuan camel milk?

Yes — and it's worth knowing that not all fat works the same way in the body.

When people are told to "watch fat," what they're usually trying to avoid is too much saturated and processed fat — the heavy kind in fried food, fatty meats and many processed snacks. But the body genuinely needs fat to function: it's how we absorb certain vitamins, build cells and stay full between meals. The goal isn't no fat — it's the right kind, in a sensible amount.

Camel milk's fat leans toward the better kind: it's mostly unsaturated fat — the lighter, softer kind — rather than being dominated by the heavy saturated fat found in much standard dairy. So as a source of fat, it's one of the more favourable ones to include.

And if you're keeping fat lower still, that's exactly what our Reduced Fat label is for: the same pure camel milk, with the fat gently reduced and a little more protein and calcium per serving — so you can choose the level that suits you.

I'm watching my sodium and electrolytes — can I drink WangYuan camel milk?

Yes — and on this one, milk choice genuinely makes a difference worth understanding.

When people watch sodium, they're usually trying to avoid the salt hidden in processed and packaged food — that's where most of a day's sodium quietly comes from, far more than from natural whole foods. So the easy wins are the unprocessed, naturally low-sodium foods.

Camel milk is one of them. It's naturally low in sodium, and it also naturally contains potassium — the two minerals people usually have backwards: most diets carry too much sodium and too little potassium, and whole foods help tip that the right way. As a plain, unprocessed milk with nothing added, it sits easily in a sodium-conscious diet.

What makes camel milk's protein different from cow's milk?

It really is different — and not by processing, but by nature.

Cow's milk contains a protein called β-lactoglobulin, which is one of the main triggers behind common dairy discomfort. Camel milk is naturally free of it — which is a big part of why many people who find cow's milk heavy or hard to sit with find camel milk easier on the stomach.

Its protein also forms a softer curd when it meets your stomach, so it tends to feel lighter rather than dense. None of this is engineered in — it's simply how camel milk is built, and part of what makes it a genuinely different milk rather than just another dairy.

Is camel milk good for daily nutrition overall?

Yes — and the reason comes down to how the body actually eats.

Your body needs a handful of core nutrient types every day to function: protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, and water. Most foods give you only one or two of these — a piece of bread is mostly carbohydrate, a spoon of oil is mostly fat. What makes a whole food valuable is that it naturally brings several of them together, the way nature packaged them.

Camel milk is one of those whole foods. In a single cup it naturally provides protein (with a complete profile of 18 amino acids), natural fats, a small amount of natural carbohydrate, a range of vitamins and minerals, and water — all in one unprocessed, organic food with no added sugar. That's why it's nourishing in a way a single-nutrient supplement isn't: it's real food, contributing across the board.

It isn't meant to replace a balanced diet — no one food does that — but as a daily part of one, it's about as complete and clean as a single food gets.
